In our communities, we believe in fostering connection and fun through exciting events that bring everyone together. The Fall is always full of activities and events for all ages and interests. Here’s a glimpse at what Fall in a Signature Homes community looks like!
Boo Your Neighbors
Spread the Halloween spirit with a little friendly mischief through our “Boo Your Neighbor” tradition! Here’s how it works: leave a surprise treat on a neighbor’s doorstep, along with a “You’ve Been Booed!” sign, and instructions to pass along the fun. From festive goodies to candy-filled bags, it’s a great way to spread joy and excitement throughout the neighborhood. Plus, watching the Boo signs pop up on doors throughout the community is always a seasonal highlight!
Trick-or-Treat Extravaganzas
Our communities come alive on Halloween night with a Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza! Families, friends, and neighbors all enjoy an evening in their communities seeing everyone’s decorated homes while the kids enjoy some candy and treats. Some residents go all out, turning their homes into haunted houses, complete with spooky decorations and eerie sounds. It is a safe and festive way for kids (and the young at heart) to enjoy Halloween while connecting with neighbors.
Witches Ride Parades
A resident favorite is the annual Witches Ride Parade! This fun event invites residents to dress as whimsical witches and to parade through the community on their golf carts. It is so impressive to see how much these witches go all out getting dressed up and decorating their rides! It is a magical sight to see and a great way to kick off the fall season!
Fall Festivals
Celebrate the season at our Fall Festivals, featuring everything from local vendors and live music to hayrides, food trucks, and games for the whole family. It’s the perfect day out to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and make lasting memories with neighbors.
Pumpkin Carving Contests
Nothing says fall fun like pumpkin carving! We have seen just how talented our residents are as they bring their creativity to life to carve the best pumpkin in the community. From spooky faces to artistic designs, this is a fun-filled event for all ages.
Costume Contests
Residents always blow us away with their creative costume ideas!. Whether you are dressing up as your favorite character or going for a spooktacular theme, there will be a prize and bragging rights up for grabs for both kids and adults!
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Every year in October, we launch our #PaintSignaturePink campaign to raise money for breast cancer research. This is a social media campaign that runs through the month of October, that gives us the opportunity to donate to UAB’s O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center’ Breast Cancer Research Fund on your behalf. A photo of a pink Signature home is posted to our @signaturehomescommunity account, which is then liked and shared among viewers. For every like, we donate $2, and for every share, we donate $3. This is an easy way to quickly spread awareness to a huge audience and to raise money for breast cancer research using a social media platform. View the Instagram post here and Facebook post here.
This year we are extending the efforts to “Paint Signature Pink” to our communities by offering pink bows to all homeowners who make a direct donation to our fundraising page with UAB. These will be hung on homeowners front doors to help spread more awareness about breast cancer. Anyone can make a direct donation to the fundraising page here, and you too can get a pink bow!
Friendsgiving Potlucks
Embrace the spirit of community and gratitude at our Friendsgiving Potlucks. Residents are invited to bring a dish to share, enjoy a feast with friends, and reflect on all the things we are thankful for this year. These events are a fantastic way to build friendships and strengthen community bonds.
