Why We Contribute

The Signature Homes team values giving back to the community. As an employee-owned company, we take special time and attention to select charities within our communities that benefit the most from our time and resources. Not only do we care deeply about the homeowners that reside in our houses, but we also wish to make an impact on everyone that lives in that surrounding city. We are proud to say that Signature Homes is actively taking one opportunity after the next, to lend a helping hand to those that need it. Whether it’s scholarships, fundraisers, donations, or even homes, we are eager to contribute to the betterment of one another.

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS

Land

We are proud to work with the city to prepare and donate land for public use. This includes trails, parks, and water access surrounding our communities. Our main goal in doing so is to foster connectivity within the city and surrounding community, not just our neighborhoods. Some public parks include the Black Creek Mountain Bike Park, a 73-acre public park with 5 miles of trails accommodating all level riders, the Post Oak Pavilion in Fleming Park, a 125-acre public park with over 10 miles of hiking and bike trails, Chase Lake, a park along the Cahaba River, and a disc golf park on Highway 280. We are always looking for ways we can continue to do what we do while responding to our customers’ wants and needs and also giving back to our community.

Learning

Here at Signature Homes we value the importance of school systems and education. Working with local school districts, specific schools, and non-profit organizations gives us an incredible opportunity to touch the lives of many people within the cities we build housing. Supporting students through numerous organizations is something we are very proud of and grateful that we have the opportunity to do. Whether it’s financially supporting students, mentorship involvement with students, or offering job site learning, we are always happy to contribute to others’ education. We give back to both our Birmingham and Nashville communities which you can read more about below!

Life

Health and longevity are other areas that Signature Homes is happy to support. Through donations made to the YMCA, we are able to contribute and aid in providing scholarships for children to attend camps that might not otherwise have the means to. Another significant and longstanding partnership we have is with St. Jude Research Hospital. For over 10 years, we have teamed up with this wonderful organization to raise money through their St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaign. Through this giveaway, we work with our vendors to build a brand-new home that gets raffled off to one lucky winner. All of the raffle ticket proceeds go straight towards supporting St. Jude’s Hospital. Another major campaign we host is our Paint Signature Pink campaign, where we partner with the Ascension St. Vincent’s Foundation to raise money for those affected by breast cancer through a social media post of a pink Signature home!

Special Projects

To foster learning beyond grade school, Signature Homes has partnered with Big Oak Ranch to build ASCEND, a housing campus for young adults in their organization who are pursuing a college degree. The campus will be a home for more than 40 students at any given time in the program. This is the first-ever opportunity for young adults ages 18-22 to remain within the Big Oak Ranch program and receive direction in their spiritual, professional, and personal endeavors while attending college. This ministry will support students in achieving their goals, whether it is to have an education or a career.

How Can You Contribute

These are examples of some of the ways that all of us at Signature Homes have been inspired to be involved in our communities. What is most important to us is that we find opportunities within our communities to support and give back where needs exist and hope that you will too. Reach out to your local shelters, schools, parks, and rec centers to see how you can make a difference in your community. Listed below are more of our contributions to help you find the right one for you!
